Fractions, Decimals and Percentages Worksheets — KS3
Fractions, decimals, and percentages (FDP) are three ways of representing the same value, and fluency in converting between them is essential at KS3. The National Curriculum requires students to convert freely between fractions, decimals, and percentages, order FDP values, and apply percentage change in financial and statistical contexts. Our KS3 FDP worksheets develop all of these skills with exam-style questions.

Key FDP Conversions to Know
Students should know common FDP equivalences without calculation: 1/2 = 0.5 = 50%, 1/4 = 0.25 = 25%, 3/4 = 0.75 = 75%, 1/5 = 0.2 = 20%, 1/10 = 0.1 = 10%, 1/3 ≈ 0.333 = 33.3%. Our worksheets include flashcard-style conversion tables as a reference alongside practice questions that require students to apply and extend these benchmarks.
Percentage Change and Reverse Percentage
Percentage increase and decrease are introduced in KS3 and heavily tested at GCSE. Our worksheets cover: finding the percentage of an amount (25% of 360), percentage increase/decrease (increase £240 by 15%), and reverse percentage (after a 20% increase a coat costs £96 — what was the original price?). Each type is introduced with a worked example before independent practice questions.
